RiseBoro's ten older adult centers and clubs provide culturally-rich environments where older adults can engage with peers, make new friends, enjoy hot nutritious meals, keep physically active, explore new interests and give back through volunteer opportunities. Each center offers a wide variety of physical activities, including Yoga, Zumba, ballroom dance, stretching, Tai Chi, chair aerobics and falls prevention classes for older adults looking to maintain their health. We also provide support in managing chronic health conditions through free screenings, health education workshops and along with nutritious meals; nutrition education and food pantries. The centers give seniors the opportunity to share existing skills and talents while they acquire new ones through a variety of arts, technology, language, and special interest classes. Assistance is provided in various languages (English/Spanish/ Chinese/French).

Case assistance is available at all our centers to offer information and referrals, housing assistance, and benefits enrollment assistance.

Hybrid Classes

As we adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our older adult centers quickly created a diverse virtual calendar of classes, lectures, and case assistance services to support members who were isolated at home. Now that our centers are fully open and many members have returned, we recognize that some seniors may still be homebound. Some may have appointments, vacations, or poor weather conditions that may impede them from coming to the center. To ensure everyone stays connected and engaged, we offer the option to log into hybrid classes, allowing remote participation alongside onsite members. This promotes engagement, exercise, socialization, and support for our seniors. We are excited to announce that some of our centers offer these hybrid classes. If you’re interested in joining, please contact any of our Older Adult Centers for a hybrid class calendar.
