Pamela Vega Watler

Seniors Interim VP

Pamela is Interim VP of our Senior Services Division for RiseBoro

Pamela Vega Watler serves as the Interim VP of our Senior Services Division. She originally joined RiseBoro in 2007 as the Director of the Case Management Program and eventually the Director of the Senior Services Division.  After seven years with RiseBoro, she left in pursuit of her clinical license in social work and returned in 2021 as the Administrator of Health overseeing both our Homecare and Assisted Living Programs.

In her current role, Pamela is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of ten Aging Centers, Case Management and Home Delivered Meals Programs, serving thousands of older adults in various communities on a daily basis.

Prior to joining RiseBoro, Pamela worked for the New York City Department for the Aging’s Geriatric Mental Health Department.  Pamela provided technical assistance, training and support to various clinicians, graduate students and volunteers who provided counseling and socio emotional support to older adults throughout NYC during the height of the pandemic.

Pamela has worked in the social service field for over 30 years, starting her career in preventive services and then Shelter and Supportive Housing before she realized her passion for working with older adults.  This she credits to her strong relationship with her grandmother, who even after her passing continues to inspire her.

Pamela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a BA in Psychology from Marymount College and MSW from Fordham University.  She has spent most of her career working with children, families and individuals as an agent of support and guidance. She is passionate and committed to serving the needs of older adults and families and helping families care for their loved ones during such a crucial time in their lives.

Pamela is proud to be Brooklyn born and Bronx raised. She credits her loving family, husband and two beautiful daughters for supporting her in this journey.
