Kristine J. Montañez

VP Supportive Services

Kristine J. Montañez leads RiseBoro’s Housing Supportive Services division and is responsible for strategy, performance, and cross-functional coordination of onsite tenant services across the organization’s housing portfolio. Over her 15-year tenure with RiseBoro, she has progressed from direct care work to program leadership and senior management. In her current role, Kristine oversees program delivery and sustainability, co-develops divisional budgets, and implements data and monitoring systems that drive accuracy, contract compliance, and continuous improvement, while deepening partnerships with government funders, development partners, and community providers. 

Kristine is an experienced life-long advocate with a demonstrated history of over a decade working in service of marginalized and underserved communities. She brings extensive experience in NYC supportive housing operations, program design, and team development, and has been responsible for the growth of RiseBoro’s portfolio of supportive housing programs from a handful of programs in Brooklyn to over 15 programs across four boroughs. A bilingual (English/Spanish) social work executive and accomplished grant writer, she holds an MSW from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work with a concentration in Organizational Management and Leadership and maintains LMSW and SIFI credentials.
