Martha joins us from Services for the UnderServed (S:US) where she was the Director of Housing Development for almost four years. During her time at S:US she led the real estate development team which was responsible for the construction closing of over 1,000 units of permanent affordable and supportive housing totaling over $600M in total development costs. She has experience with large new construction projects as well as preservation projects, both with tenants in place and through relocation. Prior to S:US, Martha was the Director of Housing Development at MHANY Management, there she oversaw the construction closing, permanent conversion and lease up of a number of new construction and rehabilitation projects. She holds an undergraduate degree in History and Politics from the University of Oxford and a Master’s Degree in Social Policy from the London School of Economics. Martha is deeply committed to non-profit development, management and ownership of affordable housing and is excited to continue her career long efforts towards these goals at RiseBoro!

Martha, originally from Italy, has lived in NYC for 7 years and currently lives in Bed-Stuy with her partner. In her spare time she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling and seeing Broadway shows. She is part of an amateur musical theater group and has performed in over 10 shows with them.
