Our Community
The Women Who Build Our Future
Women are breaking barriers in construction, and RiseBoro is proud to support them. From safety officers to electricians and builders, women are shaping the future of affordable housing in NYC. “The women in RiseBoro’s construction projects are not just building homes—they are building a better future for themselves and their communities,” says CEO Kieran Harrington.

Legislative Breakfast
Our Team recently had the honor of welcoming local elected officials to join us in a thoughtful and forward-looking conversation about the needs and hopes of our neighborhoods. The gathering sparked meaningful dialogue around how we can work together—across government, nonprofit, and community lines—to strengthen the fabric of our communities.
From housing and health to youth programs and elder care, each group brought valuable perspectives and ideas to the table.

Teamwork in Housing
RiseBoro, in collaboration with Selfhelp Community Services and Bethany Terraces, a RiseBoro affordable housing initiative was featured in an article highlighting the innovative modular housing of the project. The article showcases the power of teamwork and the incredible dedication of our team in making affordable housing a reality for our community.

Housing Lottery
RiseBoro and Slate Property Group have officially launched leasing for Baisley Pond Park Residences in South Jamaica, Queens—the first hotel-to-housing conversion under New York’s HONDA program. The project will provide 318 affordable apartments, including 192 supportive units for formerly homeless New Yorkers. With construction wrapping up this spring, RiseBoro will offer onsite services to help residents transition into safe, stable, and supportive homes.
