Kevin Muir is the Vice President of Health, overseeing Home Care Services, Wellness Rising, Assisted Living, the launch of a RiseBoro’s first PACE program and more broadly supporting the integration of health across the agency. Having worked for many years at the intersection of health and social services, Kevin most recently led the EngageWell IPA, a collaborative of community-based organizations (CBOs) seeking to contract with healthcare payers. Kevin was also previously the Executive Director of iHealth, a collective of CBOs addressing policy issues impacting the Health Home Care Management Program.
Kevin has over 20 years of experience spearheading nonprofit programs and has spent the past twelve years focused on building the infrastructure CBOs need to more actively participate in NYS’s healthcare system. Kevin has been an active leader in New York State’s Medicaid Redesign process including the implementation of the Health Home Program, the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program and Health and Recovery Plans (HARP) initiatives. Kevin brings a strong participant-centered approach to increasing CBO’s infrastructure and capacity within operations, program planning and implementation, organizational governance, quality and data management. He believes this must be done while also addressing social, economic and racial justice issues and relying heavily on trauma informed care and harm reduction principles.
Kevin received his Master’s in Public Administration Degree with a focus in Nonprofit Management from the University of Arizona’s – Eller College of Management and his undergraduate degree in Psychology and East Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
